Muscat: The Met Office on Tuesday said there are some chances for scattered rains and hailstorms accompanied by heavy winds over the Al Hajar Mountains and the adjacent areas.

"Clear to partly cloudy skies along the coastal area of Dhofar Governorate and adjoining mountains with chances of isolated rainfall. Mainly clear skies over the rest of the Sultanate with a chance of convective cloud development and rain. Along with occasional thunderstorms associated with strong downward winds and hail over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas towards afternoon and evening. There are also chances of late night to early morning low-level clouds or fog patches along the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea and the Oman Sea," tweeted the weather office.
