MUSCAT: Occidental Oman has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Ministry of Health to fund the purchase of Covid-19 vaccine doses worth $2.5 million. The sponsorship aims to enhance vaccination levels in the country against the coronavirus, particularly for high-risk individuals and the Ministry’s targeted groups.
This vaccine programme continues Occidental Oman’s support for Covid-19-related initiatives in the previous year and in 2021.
The company has sponsored an E-Platform for teachers in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, provided support to Dar Al Atta’as Covid-19 donation campaign, supported Ibri Hospital with medical equipment, and sponsored the purchase of temperature measuring devices for all schools in Al Wusta governorate.
“We are proud of our commitment to the well-being of Oman’s communities throughout the pandemic, as Occidental Oman has directly addressed community needs through our CSR projects, both on a national scale, as well responding to the needs of our local concession areas,” said Stephen Kelly, President and General Manager of Occidental Oman.
