MUSCAT: Deliberations of the 18th meeting of the Capacity Building Committee (CBC) at the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) kicked off on Monday under the chairmanship of the State Audit Institution (SAI).
The two-day meeting is being held via video-conferencing with participation of the SAIs’ members of the committee.
The meeting’s agenda includes topics, mainly addressing the findings of implementing the action plan in the training and scientific research for the year 2020 and discussing implementation of the online training course on “SAIs Role in Audit amidst Crisis”, as well as reviewing the draft action plan in training 2021.
The meeting also discusses the outcomes of the workshop on “Dealing with Grantors” that was implemented by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), besides reviewing the e-learning plan and the phases executed.
Furthermore, the meeting reviews the progress of the organisation’s plan in the field of auditing extractive industries and the proposals of preparing a database for capacity building fields.
The meeting will also devise an operational plan for the year 2021 and address the detailed plan of the integrity self-assessment workshop (INTOSaint). — ONA
