MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represented by the Council of Oman, took part in the 31st emergency session of the Arab Inter-parliamentary Union (AIPU) held via video conferencing to discuss the Israeli violations in Jerusalem, backing the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people and supporting their rights and ending the continued crimes committed by the Israelis.
The Council of Oman called upon the international community to continue pressing the Israeli occupation authorities to end the siege.
This was stated by Shaikh Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Majlis Ash’shura Chairman and head of the Sultanate’s delegation.
