MUSCAT: Jumeirah Group, a global luxury hospitality group and a member of Dubai Holding, has announced a key appointment for its resort in Muscat. Luke James (pictured) will head the operations of Jumeirah Muscat Bay as its General Manager.

The first Jumeirah hotel to open in the Sultanate, Luke will oversee its 206 spacious suites, villas and rooms, state-of-the-art Talise spa, dive centre and numerous dining, meeting and event venues, set against incredible views of the Sea of Oman and mountains beyond.

Following his promotion, Luke says: “I am excited to establish this resort as a market leader in the region and, as with my previous hotel and resort openings, connecting with the Muscat community closely to ensure they too are proud of this beautiful property, our first in the Sultanate.”

Luke draws on past successes, with the openings of numerous hotels and resorts across multiple brands, most recently with the launch of Zabeel House by Jumeirah, The Greens, the popular urban nexus in the heart of Dubai. He will take the reins of the pre-opening team in Oman, ensuring seamless operations and build-up of anticipation for the launch of the exclusive resort.
