Six Indian passengers test positive on arrival, deported from Cairo airport

The quarantine authorities at Cairo International Airport deported six Indian passengers upon their arrival after they were tested positive for Covid on Friday.


The 45 passengers arriving on the Qatar Airways flight were examined and t was found that six of them were infected with the virus.


Quarantine staff isolated the six passengers and took the necessary preventive measures until they were deported from the airport on two different flights on Qatar Airways. Five passengers left on one flight.


The Cairo International Airport authorities have tightened their preventive measures for passengers on flights coming from India, Brazil and Latin America, using the rapid test that shows results in 13 minutes.
