MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday issued a Royal decree reading as follows:
Royal Decree No 42/ 2021 on granting government lands.
Article (1) stipulates that granting government residential lands shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions stated in the Annex attached to this decree.
Article (2) states that usufruct-based granting of government commercial, residential-cum-commercial, industrial and agricultural lands shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions stated in Royal Decree No 5/ 81 on regulating land use and development in the Sultanate.
Article (3) states that the terms and conditions stated in the Annex attached to this decree shall apply to Government Residential Land Entitlement Applications that are submitted to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning prior to the enforcement of provisions of this decree.
It also stipulates that the terms and conditions stated in the above-mentioned Royal Decree No 5/ 81 shall apply to applications for entitlement to government commercial,
