The list of activities excluded from the decision to ban commercial activities between 4 am and 7 am (May 8-15).


The Director-General of Commerce at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MOCIIP), said that the activities excluded from the decision to ban commercial activities:


Central markets for the sale of vegetables, fruits, and fish with a capacity of 50 percent,


Central slaughterhouses with a capacity of 50 percent,


Gas stations, including repairing tires and vehicles inside stations and quick stores with maximum 3 customers at a time


Fishing boats repair workshops, sale of fishing supplies


Health institutions, including veterinary centers, pharmacies, and those selling eyeglasses.


He said commercial activities excluded from the decision to ban activities during the period from 8 to 15 May 2021 (4 am to 7 pm) are foodstuff stores (30 percent capacity) that sell groceries, meat, poultry, and fish stores, bakeries, honey and herb stores, Omani sweets, dates pastry, spice, nuts stores, mineral water shops, ice cream, and corn stores, fruit and vegetable stores, juice shops.


Hypermarkets selling only foodstuffs, selling meat, fruits, and vegetables only, with other parts closed.


The economic activities that are allowed to work administratively inside the workplace without receiving customers are banks, auditing and accounting offices, construction and contracting companies, translation offices, transport and storage companies, support centers, insurance companies, shipping and customs clearance offices, financing and consulting companies of all kinds, post companies and offices. Lawyers, exchange companies and shops, and home delivery.


He also explained that the groups excluded from the decision to prevent the movement of individuals and vehicles from 8 to 15 May 2021 AD during the period from 7 pm to 4 am are: health workers, emergency vehicles, emergency electricity and water services only, workers in private hospitals and workers in pharmacies through the night shift according to What is regulated by the Ministry of Health.


He pointed out that the categories excluded from the decision to prevent the movement of individuals and vehicles include workers in the movement of ports and airports, workers in trucks of all kinds of three tons and higher, water tanks, sewage tanks, and workers in factories, with no movement allowed outside the factory during the period of immigration and workers in operations Unloading and loading in factories and warehouses, while not allowing movement outside the factory or warehouse during the period of immobilizer, and workers in shift fuel stations through the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and investment promotion with marketing companies and workers in the oil fields.
