The Supreme Committee tasked with tackling the developments resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, has issued new decisions as follows:

Banning arrivals from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh as well as passengers arriving from any other countries if they have passed through any of these 3 countries within 14 days prior to applying for entry to the Sultanate, effective from 6 pm on Saturday, April 24, until further notice.

Disallowing children under 12 years of age from entering commercial complexes and stores. The Supreme Committee stressed that commercial stores, restaurants, and cafes should adhere to the decision to reduce the number of shoppers to 50 percent of capacity.

Distance education will continue to be applicable for all grades at the public and private schools and higher education institutions with the exception of grade 12 and the applied studies such as the students of medicine and health sciences and vocational training. The decision is subject to evaluation according to the developments of the epidemiological situation. — ONA
