Arab League Council holds preparatory meeting

CAIRO: The Arab League Council held a meeting at the level of the permanent delegates to prepare for the 148th session of the Arab Foreign Ministers, scheduled to be held on Tuesday. The Sultanate was represented in the meeting by Dr Ali bin Ahmed al Issaee, Sultanate’s Ambassador to Egypt, its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League. The session will discuss several items, such as the Palestinian cause, the Arab-Israeli conflict and the developments of situations in Syria, Libya and Yemen, besides supporting peace and development in the Republic of Sudan and supporting the Federal Republic of Somalia and Comoros. The 148th session will also discuss the peaceful solution of the Djiboutian and Eritrean conflict and supporting the displaced people in the Arab countries, particularly the Iraqis, in addition to discussing the dangers of Israeli armaments on the Arab national security and peace.  — ONA
