MUSCAT: From August 6, the budget airline Air Arabia will add two more two flights from Suhar to Sharjah, taking the weekly services to eight from the northern port city.
The airline earlier said it will add two more weekly flights between Suhar and Sharjah , taking total
services to six ( from four) per week following approval from the
Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA).
The Sharjah-based low cost carrier had started operating from Suhar from July 9 this year.
Suhar is Air Arabia’s third destination in Oman. The carrier operates daily flights Muscat and Salalah. Air Arabia is the first international carrier to operate from Suhar.
With this, Air Arabia will connect passengers
from Suhar to over 50 destinations in the Middle
East, North Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Central Asia and Europe — 22 countries from Sharjah, 11 destinations in eight countries from Ras al Khaimah, and six destinations in four countries from Alexandria.
Qatar Airways will start three weekly flights between airports in Sohar and Doha from August 8.
Salam Air also increased flights between Suhar and Salalah to a total of six a week in July.
