MINGALABAR FESTIVAL: Residents watch an eight-metre tall wicker puppet from the French cultural group L’Homme Debout parade in Yangon city’s Dala township on Friday to mark the opening of the Mingalabar Festival. The three-day festival held in celebration of the 55th anniversary of French-Myanmar relations, gathers local and international artists from street art, music, circus and dance that will bring street festivities around Yangon’s public areas. — AFP
