Kofi Annan arrives in Myanmar

More than 100 people protested against former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan as he arrived in Myanmar’s restive Rakhine State on Friday morning. Annan arrived in the state’s capital Sittwe to undertake his role as chair of the Rakhine Advisory Commission which was established as an independent body by Myanmar’s government in September.
