SAF annual exhibition opens

MUSCAT: Armed Forces Day Exhibition opened on Wednesday at the Museum of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), to coincide with the Armed Forces Day, which falls on December 11 each year under the patronage of Maj Gen Salim bin Musallam Qatan, Commandant of the National Defence College, in the presence of a number of senior SAF, Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) and other military and security service officers. The exhibition includes varied exhibits that include many photos, paintings, and sculptures that tell the achievements of the Sultanate in various fields, and the march of development and modernisation in the Sultan’s Armed Forces, in which a number of SAF fine artists participated. A number of students from the RGO Technological College presented some art, technological, engineering and scientific innovations. RGO Band also presented a musical performance. The exhibition will continue till December 15. The museum will be open daily to citizens and residents during the morning and afternoon shifts from 8 am until 5 pm.
