Tunisian Cultural and Heritage Days exhibition now on

By Mai Al Abria — MUSCAT: Under the auspices of HH Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, and Khamaies Jhinaoui, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Tunisia, the Tunisian Embassy held its “Tunisian Cultural and Heritage Days” art exhibition opening last Thursday, December 15 at Bait Al Zubair. The art exhibition will run until December 29. On the sidelines of the exhibition, a book by Dr Mounira Hjayej “Oman in The Eyes of Others” was inaugurated. Following the opening night, a succession of events will take place for a week in Bait Al Zubair Foundation to exhibit Tunisian art and culture in the form of books, poetry, painting, music and cinema. The Cultural Days event will end on December 22. This event is a display of a variety of intricate Tunisian art collection, signifying the magnificence of the Tunisian cultural heritage. On Sunday evening, a poetry event was held titled “Tunisian Literature” by Salah Eddine Boujah at Bait al Nahdha Theatre. On Wednesday, two films will be presented; a Short film, “Eid Shoes” for 15mins and “Bastardo” at 7pm. The Tunisian nights will be concluded by a music show from the Tunisian culture on Thursday, December 22.
