First woman head of police station

MUSCAT: Lt Col Shaikha bint Ashour al Hambasiyah, the head of Al Wattayah Police Station which was opened on Wednesday expressed her pride and happiness at being the first Omani woman officer to assume the position of a head of a police station. She said the decision to appoint her reflects the confidence of the senior command of the Royal Oman Police in the abilities of Omani women officers.
