Gas cylinder explodes in Amerat

MUSCAT: A cooking gas cylinder exploded at a restaurant in Al Amerat in the early hours of Tuesday morning causing damages and material losses at 12 stores, 3 houses and 2 vehicles. No casualties have been reported, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) said. PACDA has urged owners of properties and commercial stores to abide by the safety standards and to keep in touch with the fire protection department.
