“Celebrating Oman: The Great Journey”  produced by the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM)  and presented on its Maidan outdoor  thrilled the crowd with its excellent show of talent and showmanship. Showcasing part of Oman’s history and blessed renaissance under the leadership of His Majesty, the show consisted of eight vivid musical tableaux, representing different aspects of life in Oman, taking the audience on an incredible expedition through Oman’s rich history, nature, seafarers’ traditions, cultural heritage as well as its modern history. A number of talented poets, authors and artists as well as young Omanis actively participated in the show to reflect creativity in various fields of arts. International choreographers, singers and dancers from all over the world took part in the show from Italy, France, Singapore, United Kingdom, United States of America, Argentina, Mexico, Hungary and Switzerland. More than a hundred performers, forty Omani children, thirty Omani musicians, three camels from the Royal Camel Corps, traditional Omani folk companies and members from the ‘The Society for Amateur Oud Players’ contributed to the success of the show.
