NCSI hosts technical seminar

MUSCAT: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) on Tuesday hosted its first-ever technical seminar on Oman National Spatial Data Infrastructure (ONSDI) programme. The two-day seminar focuses on ONSDI’s achievements. NCSI will officially launch the Oman National Base Map and Mobile Framework for its stakeholders during the event. ONSDI is a government initiative conceived to provide a framework for geospatial standards, policies, institutional arrangements, and technology infrastructure necessary to coordinate, facilitate, and support the sharing and utilisation of geospatial information across multiple government organisations in the Sultanate. — ONA
