Literary events and activities

MUSCAT: Cultural and literary events and activities of Muscat Festival 2017 started on Sunday evening at the Cultural Club with a lecture by Dr Khalid bin Said al A’meri titled: “Governance: Risk Aversion or Boost of Productivity”. The lecturer talked at length about governance charter of public share-holding companies in 2002. The lecturer also touched on the establishment of the Oman Centre for Corporate Governance and sustainability, the concept of corporate governance, the key frameworks and their importance and the relationship between governance and productivity and boost of the economy, its implications on the overall economic level of the Sultanate if applied to state-owned companies and the investment environment. — ONA
