48th Cairo International Book Fair inaugurated

CAIRO: The 48th Cairo International Book Fair opened on Thursday and will conclude on February 10. This year the fair has chosen renowned Egyptian Poet Salah Abdel Sabour, one of Egypt’s most influential contemporary poets, as the fair’s person of the year. The book fair involves this year 35 countries, including 16 Arab countries, 6 African countries, 13 foreign countries, while the number of publishers reached 670, including 200 Arab publishers, 6 African publishers, 13 foreign publishers and 451 Egyptian publishers.
