9 busted for drug smuggling

MUSCAT: The Directorate for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances at South Al Batinah Police Command arrested 4 expatriates and 2 nationals on charges of smuggling and possessing drugs. Police also seized amounts of hashish, heroin and opium and 633 tablets of psychotropic substances. In a separate case, the Directorate for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Al Buraimi Governorate arrested 3 people for possessing and abusing drugs. Police also seized 1,029 tablets of Kemadrin. All defendants were referred to the public prosecution for completion of investigations.
