Drill to test oil spill response readiness

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs in collaboration with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) organises national oil spill drill from today. The two-day drill, dubbed Nawras 2017, will take place at Al Qurum Beach and is aimed at activating contingency plans carried out by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs and the other public and private entities concerned with tackling oil pollution and measuring their readiness for such emergencies.
