Boost to ties with Czech Republic

MUSCAT: The 2nd Political Consultations Session between the Sultanate and the Czech Republic was held at the General Diwan of the Foreign Ministry on Sunday. The Omani side was chaired by Dr Mohammed bin Awad al Hassan, Acting Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Czech was chaired by Martin Tlapa, Deputy Minister for non-European Countries and Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the session, the two sides discussed means of enhancing cooperation in various political, economic, trade and investment areas, as well as exchanging scientific, technical and academic expertise between the two friendly countries. The session also exchanged viewpoints on a number of regional and international issues of common concern. The session was attended by Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Hinai, Head of the East Europe Department and some officials at the Foreign Ministry. — ONA
