Prior approval needed to use HM's image on products: Ministry

Muscat: Ther Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion has said that it is illegal for companies to use the image of His Majesty the Sultan, those of his family members, the royal coat of arms, or the khanjar and sword logo on locally produced commercial items, without its approval.
This restriction also applies to the use of these images on any imported goods, the ministry said.
