CBO issues bonds worth RO 150m

MUSCAT: The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) announced the 52nd issue of the Sultanate’s government development bonds as follows: the total applied for competitive bids only stood at RO 259,671,600, while the total amount allotted stood at RO 150 million. The CBO pointed out that the average of the accepted yield stood at 5.08 per cent and the price equivalent stood at RO 99.535, while the high accepted yield stood at RO 98.840 comprising 5.20 per cent and the low accepted yield stood at RO 100.585 comprising 4.90 per cent. The 7-year bond will be issued on 20th February 2017 and will mature on 20th February 2024, carrying a coupon rate of 5 per cent. — ONA
