ISM holds graduation ceremony

MUSCAT: Indian School Muscat (ISM) held Graduation Ceremony for the outgoing batch of Grade XII students. Wilson V George, Chairman, Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman, and Dr Chandrahas K Anchan, Chairman, Academic Sub-Committee of the BoD, were guests of honour. Indian School BoD members and parents took part in the event. Clad in their ceremonial dresses the outgoing students walked down the atrium with fervour and happiness. The function commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by an invocation dance which highlighted the theme, ‘Lead unto light’. Other highlights of the occasion was the launch of Year Book for 2016-2017. Students were honoured with certificates of recognition. Head Girl Samantha Aster Pinto and Nishant Shekhar won the Best All Rounder Awards. The Best Sports Personality title was bestowed on Samantha Aster Pinto, Mohammad Hisham and Wasim Ali. The Head Boy, the Head Girl and the senior Student Council members received special awards and certificates in recognition of their diligent services to the school. The solemn ceremony ended with the vote of thanks by Assistant Head Boy, P Sai Saran.
