Stuck ring removed; Emergency drill in Barka

MUSCAT: The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances (PACDA) said its emergency team managed to cut the ring that was stuck in the finger of a boy in Nizwa. PACDA said its team has admitted the boy to the Nizwa Hospital for further treatment. Meanwhile, PACDA conducted an exercise at the Dragon Mart in Barka to test the preparedness of the facilities there to face any emergency situations. The exercise led to confusion among the passerby motorists who felt there has been an untoward incident like fire. But PACDA in a statement clarified that it was one of routine exercises and it has nothing to do with an incident.
