World Kidney Day marked

MUSCAT: The Sultanate participated in the World Kidney Day, which is held this year under the theme “ Kidney and Obesity: Healthy Lifestyles for Healthy Kidneys”. Kidney diseases affect 10 per cent of adults worldwide. The celebration of World Kidney Day is aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of obesity and its association with kidney disease, and to encourage healthy lifestyles that make preventive behaviours an affordable option.
