Owner of The Sultan Center retail chain passes away

Muscat - The owner of The Sultan Centre (TSC) chain of supermarket and hypermarkets, Jamil Sultan bin Essa al Qanaie, has passed away at age 67 in Kuwait. He is the owner of Agility is one of the largest contract logistics providers in Oman with warehouses in prime business hubs. Following the opening of its first store in Muscat’s Al Qurum area in 1999, the company is one of the Sultanate of Oman’s largest retailers. The TSC are located in Qurum, Azaiba and Mawaleh, while our wholesale stores are located in Al Khoud and Amerat. Two smaller Discount stores are located in Quiriyat and Amerat. Jamil Sultan is also the vice Chairman of National Real Estate Company (NREC) with a presence in the Middle East and Africa.
