Low pressure to affect Oman from March 21

Observer Online Muscat - The latest weather analysis of The National Multi Hazards and Early Warning Centre shows a trough of low pressure area will affect the Sultanate starting from Tuesday (March 21) and lasting for four days. The weather will be cloudy with chances of rain occasionally thundershower over the Governorate of Musandam, and gradually will extend to the governorates of Buraimi, Dahirah, North Batinah, South Batinah, Muscat, Dakhilia, Sharqiya and South Sharqiya associated with fresh downdraft winds, hail and flash floods, while it will be partly cloudy skies over the governorates of Al Wusta and Dhofar with chance of isolated rain. Sea state will be moderate to rough along the coastal areas of Musandam and Oman Sea with maximum wave height ranging from 2.5 meters to 3 meters. Public Authority for Civil Aviation advises all to follow the weather bulletins and take precautions, and make sure of the sea state before sailing.
