GCC Healthcare Patient Safety Committee holds meeting

MUSCAT:  The two-day meeting of the GCC Healthcare and Patient Safety Committee of the GCC Health Council, hosted by the Sultanate, today started. Representatives of the GCC States alongside with representatives from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Kingdom of Morocco participated at the meeting for the first time as observers to review the GCC experience in health care and patient safety. The meeting aims at discussing and following up the implementation of the GCC five-year strategic plan for the quality of health care and patient safety. The meeting also aims at reviewing the new developments in the field, discussing the challenges facing the GCC health system and devising suitable solutions for them. — ONA
