Sultanate marks WMO Day today

MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represented by the Directorate General of Meteorology at the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA), on Thursday will mark  the World Meteorological Day in commemoration of the entry into force of the World  Meteorological Organization (WMO) Convention in the year 1950. The theme of this year is  “Understanding Clouds”. Dr Mohammed bin Nasser al Zaabi, CEO of PACA, said that the authority is proud of the Sultanate’s capabilities in meteorology which have been reflected on the ground by the commendations received by PACA from many international and regional organizations.
