First phase of Sur City Walk project opens

SUR: The first phase of City Walk commercial — entertainment project was inaugurated on Saturday under the auspices of Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Planning. Additionally, the foundation stone was laid for the second phase of the project. The project is developed by Al Sharqiya Real Estate Development and Investment in cooperation with Shumookh Investment and Services. Speaking to reporters during the opening ceremony, Dr Al Sunaidy said that such projects in the governorates provide great services to citizens and residents and show businessmen’s commitment towards the provision of services in their respective wilayats and governorates. Such services are still needed in governorates, Al Sunaidy said calling on businessmen in all governorates to take similar step. Yasser bin Ali al Alawi, Managing Director, Al Sharqiya Real Estate Development and Investment, said that the Sur Gate project will be constructed on a 217,000 sq metre plot of land and it comprises the City Walk Centre which involves two phases the first of which has already been inaugurated the second one will be announced soon alongside the Lulu Hypermarket and a businessmen hotel, a multi-purpose hall, a luxury villa compound, a flat complex beside futuristic projects that are aimed at attracting companies to create a conducive investment environment.
