Seminar on malaria control at SQU

MUSCAT: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) represented by the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, in collaboration with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) organised a seminar on Malaria. The seminar  discussed the progress made in malaria control and the challenges facing such efforts. It also shed light on the need to use modern technologies in diagnosing and verifying the type of parasites causing this diseases as this will help in developing malaria control strategies. Speakers from the Ministry of Health, and renowned international universities spoke. Eight working papers were also presented.
