Gulf women development panel holds meeting

MUSCAT: The Gulf Women Comprehensive Development Committee (GWCDC) held its third meeting on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Dr Jamila Mansour al Sabak at the headquarters of the GCC Supreme Council Advisory Board Affairs Office in Muscat. The committee discussed studies and working papers submitted by the members and reports and in-depth studies. The committee discussed the memoranda submitted to the committee by the GCC Secretariat-General. The committee also reviewed with a group of experts and specialists a number of agenda and ideas to be reviewed at an extensive panel discussion with the members of the committee. The committee aims to prepare the draft of the advisory body’s recommendations, which will be presented at the third advisory board meeting to be held in May 2017 in implementation of the decision issued by GCC leaders at the 30th summit in Bahrain.  — ONA
