Majlis to host Sajwani on May 3 and 4

MUSCAT: The Majlis Ash’shura will host Dr Fuad bin Jaafar al Sajwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, on May 3 and 4. Dr Al Sajwani will present the ministry’s statement before the council’s 15th and 16th ordinary meetings. Shaikh Ali bin Nasser al Mahrouqi, Secretary-General of Majlis Ash’shura, said the statement will include seven topics covering agricultural, fisheries and livestock sectors. The first topic will be about the performance indicators of agricultural and fisheries sectors. The second one will contain an assessment of livestock sector in terms of the ministry’s efforts to develop aquaculture industry in the Sultanate and level of efficiency of infrastructure and fishing ports in the governorates as well as the ministry’s trend to set up partnerships with the private sector.
