Oman’s Mishal makes a splash in Spain

MUSCAT: Mishal Issa Al Rawahi participated with his team Kaptiva Sports Academy (KSA) in MIC-Mediterranean International Cup, a youth football tournament in La Costa Brava, Spain, with youth teams and national teams participating from different countries with ages from 12 years (D class) to A class (U19).  The 17th edition of MIC took place from 11th April to 16th April and it’s considered to be the biggest youth football tournament in the world with more than 250 teams participating in the tournament. Reputed clubs like FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, RCD Espanyol, Villarreal CF, Málaga CF, Aspire Football Dreams, FC Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Manchester City, FC Inter, FC Shakhtar Donetsk were among the participants and many more. Mishal, who plays as a defender (left wing-back) in the KSA Juvenile (U18) team played seven matches with his team before lifting the cup as winners of the B – Cup defeating Racing Sarria (Spain) 2-1 in the final.
