Sultanate wins 3 awards in 27th FIAB biennial

OSLO: The Sultanate, represented by Oman Photographic Society of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science, won three awards at the 27th FIAB Biennial for Colour Pictures in Norway. The event is organised by the International Federation of Photographic Art. The Sultanate won the Honorary Award at the 27th FIAB Biennale for Printed Colour Pictures on the group of photographs themed “Moments with Beauty,” which received 164 points. In the 27th FIAB Biennial for Digital Colour Pictures, the Sultanate was awarded the bronze medal for the collection of pictures entitled “Life of People in Oman” and obtained 169 points. On the individual level, Ahmad bin Mohammed al Tooqi won the silver medal for his photo themed “Face from Oman”. — ONA
