ISG students interact with Azharuddin

MUSCAT: Excitement marked the day as the students of Indian School al Ghubra (ISG) extended a hearty welcome to the former Indian cricket skipper, Mohammed Azharuddin, during his visit to the school. Sunil Kattakath, Convenor, School Management Committee honoured the cricketer while Papri Ghosh, Principal expressed happiness over former cricket captain’s engagement with the school students. She thanked the Oman Cricket General Secretary, Madhu Jesrani; Duleep Mendis, coach of Oman National Cricket team and Iqbal Ariwala GM, Oman Cricket Association who had made the visit of the legendary player possible. Azharuddin stated that being passionate in the chosen field of interest was of paramount importance and one should strive with single-minded devotion to be successful. He asked the students to build a ‘never give up’ attitude. He congratulated the ISG girls’ cricket team for clinching the Champion League Trophy and gave away the prizes.
