By Yeru Ebuen — An intimate musical party attended by some of the Sultanate’s prolific musicians, music enthusiasts and avid supporters took place at the opening night of Tunes Trading & Services fourth branch in Ruwi on May 3, 2017. Designed as an event of clean fun and entertainment, the evening has seen guests doing sing alongs with live performers courtesy of the establishment’s talented staff. Offering a wide range of products — musical instruments that cater to different taste and style — Tunes has been a focal point for musicians in the Sultanate with branches located in prime locations such as Al Khuwair and Qurum. In a brief interview, Thanae Pachiyannakis, assistant general manager of Tunes, explained that they’ve always identified Ruwi as a special location, one that would benefit from a store that can offer them a wide selection of musical instruments of which Tunes was a specialist. She said that Oman has been home to many musicians. Ruwi in particular is catering to a large student community  and the Rex Road area has a good foot traffic allowing anyone easy access to their products. “They can find almost everything here — we have brass, percussion, stringed and woodwind instruments, and they are of best quality. We want   to bring our products closer to the people. We have four centres now — the Tunes and Guitar Centre in Al Khuwair, the Music Souq in Qurum and most recent, this shop in Ruwi,” she said. “Tonight is a celebration of another milestone,” she added.
