Orpic celebrates World Day for Safety and Health at Work

MUSCAT: As part of its value to put Safety and the Environment first, Orpic celebrated ‘World Day for Safety and Health at Work’ at its locations in Muscat and Suhar. Every year, April 28 marks the occasion of World Day for Safety and Health at Work which comes this year under the theme of ‘Decent work and Economic Growth’. Ahmed Saleh al Jahdhami, Chief Excecutive Officer — Orpic said on this occasion, “The World Day for Safety and Health at Work is a great opportunity for all Orpic employees and contractors to reinforce safety and health measures at all times while at work. This day is also a chance to emphasise on the fact that Orpic’s corporate prime responsibility is to operate safely and reliably to protect its employees, plants, community and the environment”. Orpic organised a campaign for its employees that focuses on the need to pay attention to safety and to recognise and assess risks that may arise from daily work operations. The campaign featured a number of important topics to enhance employees knowledge on occupational health and safety.
