3,739 kg of gold, silver hallmarked

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, represented by the Directorate-General for Standards and Metrology, said that the quality of gold, silver and platinum works that have been hallmarked during the first quarter of 2017 stood at 3,739 kg valued at RO 85,343 compared to 3,369 kg wroth of RO 72,940 during the same period in 2016. The increase in inspecting and hallmarking precious stone reflects the investors’ turnout to precious metals in the Sultanate. — ONA
