SAF Museum opens for citizens, residents

MUSCAT: On the occasion of the International Museum Day, which falls on 10th May every year under the theme “Saying the unspeakable in museums,” the Sultan’s Armed Forces SAF Museum will open its doors for citizens and residents for free on Wednesday and Thursday, May 17 and 18. The museum will be open from 7:30 am till 5 pm. The SAF Museum includes several sections highlighting the military heritage, the SAF’s progress march and the care and keenness accorded by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, besides the multilingual e-museum that use several international languages and its interactive features that highlight the museum’s contents by 3D technology. — ONA
