Wadi crossing motorist arrested for bullying

Muscat – Royal Oman Police said it has arrested a citizen for recklessly driving a vehicle while crossing a wadi recently. He was also accused of drenching and bullying an expatriate riding a bicycle.
The arrest came after the video showing the act by the driver went viral on the social media and invited strong criticisms.
ROP said a legal action will be taken against him to send a strong message that inappropriate behavior on the roads will be not tolerated.
As per the new traffic law there will be a prison sentence of up to three months and a fine of RO500 for intentionally crossing valleys and putting the life of the individual as well as others at risk.
