US visa interview must for fresh Omani applicants, not for renewal

MUSCAT: Beginning from June 1, Omanis who have previously received US tourist and business visas (B1/B2 or B2) and need to renew their US visas may be eligible to apply for a visa renewal without coming to the embassy for an interview, the US Embassy in Muscat said in a statement. Other citizens, who are applying visa afresh, must attend the interview at US Embassy.
