1,018 Gulf firms open branches

MUSCAT: The number of branches of GCC companies in the Sultanate has so far reached 1,018 with an investment of RO 84 million The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that opening of branches by GCC companies in the Sultanate to conduct business through ‘Invest Easy’ portal aims to facilitate investors, companies and owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to identify opportunities. The Gulf companies are allowed to open branches in the Sultanate and they are treated equally as Omani companies. The Sultanate provides all means to ensure appropriate ways to invest for Gulf investors in terms of legislations which regulate and facilitate procedures.
