Asian youngster succumbs during swimming in Bausher

MUSCAT: A water rescue team of the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) on Sunday pulled out the body of a 23-year-old Asian man from a water pool in the Wilayat of Bausher. Soon after receiving a report, the water rescue team rushed to the site in Al Awabi where two Asian men had been swimming in a water pool. One of them drowned while his colleague called the operation centre requesting help. PACDA has reiterated a warning to the members of the public to practice swimming only in the dedicated places. It also advised beach-goers to watch over the children in order to avoid drowning incidents. — ONA
