Summer sports launched in South Batinah

MUSCAT: The summer sports programme was launched in the governorates of Al Dhahirah and South Al Batinah. The programmes will continue until August 31 and includes many sports activities for children. The inauguration ceremony took place in Al Dhahirah Governorate in the neighbourhood of Aqaba, Baabri and was held under the auspices of Shahem bin Rashed al Shahoumi, a member of the Majlis Shura Council. On the opening day, an open sports day and competitions for different age groups were held. In South Al Batinah Governorate the summer sports programme was launched at the Kids Mall in Barka. A number of sporting events and competitions were also held. — ONA
