Strategic training exercise held at National Defence College

MUSCAT: The decision-making strategic training exercise was initiated on Sunday at the National Defence College under the auspices of Maj Gen Salim bin Musallam Qatan, Commander of the National Defence College. The exercises target the fourth batch of trainees who represent a number of military, security and governmental organisations. The exercise compliments the practical skills and knowledge acquired by participants during the course. The exercise is one of the basic themes of leadership and strategic analysis as it relies on the participants’ capabilities and knowledge of the strategic studies and issues related to national security. Participants at the fourth course, the steering panel at the National Defence College as along as a number of experts and advisers at the ministries and public organisations in the Sultanate, take part in the course which aims at taking proper decisions that service the various strategic, security and political issues and provides technical and academic advice to them to ensure optimum transparency and professional and achieve the prospective aims of the course. — ONA
